October Impact Report

October has been a busy month with school fundraisers, sports teams, catering, etc. It’s so good to be back in the swing of things. We love to make your events successful, so plan a party with us and let us handle all the details.

#Teamwork Tuesday: Oct. 5

Naudia is one of our front of house GEMs. She always has a smile on her face, ready to help. Naudia is very reliable and energetic. She knows what needs to be done and does it in a timely manner. We’re so glad she’s a part of our team.

Mattenga’s was proud to donate pizzas to Angel Helper’s Ministry to feed their volunteers at their meeting on Oct. 9. Their Mission Statement is: “To bring the joy of Jesus to families in need in San Antonio and surrounding areas, by meeting their needs during the Holiday seasons and throughout the year.” We also donated 3 gift cards for their Fall/Winter fundraiser on Dec. 18. If you are interested in helping, see their webpage: https://angelhelpersministry.com/

#Teamwork Tuesday: Oct. 12

Cy helps out in the kitchen. He has mastered all stations and is willing to help wherever needed. He is dependable and very knowledgeable on everything from making dough to making your pizza. He is a true team player.

Mattenga’s fed the Schertz City Council before their meeting on Oct. 12. We appreciate all they do for the community. Thank you!

Mattenga’s OC hosted a fundraiser for Madison HS on Oct. 12. They had a nice crowd show up to support the school. This gentleman was the last customer of the night!

#Teamwork Tuesday: Oct. 19

Matt has been with Mattenga’s for a long time earning the position of lead. He is an integral part of our kitchen helping out where needed and training the new hires. He’s hardworking and reliable. If you want to learn about anything in the kitchen, he’s your guy!

The week of Oct. 18-22 has been National Vet Tech week so we took lunch to the hard working group at Cibolo Small Animal Hospital on Cibolo Valley Drive. This group has worked so hard during Covid to take care of everyone’s pets to the best of their ability. Thank you all and keep up the great work!

Oct. 21 was National Chamber Day, so we treated our lovely ladies to a great lunch of pizza and salad. We appreciate their hard work making our community look good. Thanks ladies!

We hosted Steele HS Class of 2023 fundraiser on Oct. 25.

#Teamwork Tuesday: Oct. 26

Noah has been training to be a lead in our kitchen, working alongside some of our best. He has proven to be dependable and eager to learn all areas. We appreciate his enthusiasm, wish him the best and hope he remains with us for a while.

We also got to host a Baby Shower on our patio! It was the family's first baby and we loved being part of such a joyous occasion.

Journey Fellowship Church hosted a wonderful ladies retreat, and we had the honor of sponsoring the lunch! We served fettucini alfredo pasta, and spaghetti meatball trays. With a side of Caesar salad and breadsticks! Yum.

Last but not least, we donated 200 pizza rolls to TrailLife USA as they hosted their fundraiser event! TrailLife is an organization similar to Boy Scouts. It’s father led and focused on raising boys to LOVE outdoor activities and camping. We are of course a little biased since Matt and our two sons are heavily involved with TrailLife.
