Tuesday Teamwork 6/1: Madison
Madison is one of our newer employees in Schertz who has jumped right in with the other GEMs. She always has a sweet smile and disposition when helping customers. Madison is a wonderful addition to our team.
Brighter Futures Cibolo and Schertz had a BYOP at their school on June 1 and 3 respectively. They took our 10” pizza kits back to their school and had fun making their own pizzas.
June 1-4, Schertz Fire Dept. held its Jr. Fire Academy. The kids learned so much working side by side with our local firemen. We donated 10” pizza cards to the graduates. Thanks Schertz FD for providing our community with a great learning experience.
Tuesday Teamwork 6/8: Izzy
Izzy is our very energetic GEM featured this week. She has a colorful personality and motivates the team to do their very best. You’ll find her behind the register at our Schertz location, ready to take your order.
On 6/8, The Pillars stopped by for a BYOP party with a group of their kids. They each received a pizza kit to create their own pizzas to enjoy.
The Garden Ridge Police Dept. enjoyed some great pizza from Mattenga’s on June 9 for their last Citizens Police Academy class. The staff said it was a great treat and was appreciated by all.
Tuesday Teamwork 6/15: Gilisa
Gilisa may be new, but fits in like she’s been here for years. She’s self-motivated, constantly looking for ways to help and keeps everyone on their toes. We’re so glad she’s on our team. Thanks for all you do for our customers.
On June 16th, we provided snacks for the Schertz Jr. Police Academy. It looks like everyone had a great time!
On June 28 and 29, both Brighter Futures Schertz and Cibolo picked up pizza kits for their summer kids to have fun creating their own pizzas.
Tuesday Teamwork 6/29: Estelle
Estelle has also come back to work at Mattenga's. We've missed her bright smile and sunny personality. She works hard to make sure each customer is taken care of and leaves happy. Estelle is a great role model for our new hires and a wonderful team player. We're so glad she's part of our team again.
On June 29, Mattengas Pizzeria hosted Little Cowboys and Tiaras’ “Chef Day” for career week. Each of the kids were the magic hands behind their very own creation. They learned about ovens and how important temperature is when cooking.
We are excited to announce two big events at Mattenga’s. As you’ve requested, we will be bringing our buffet back starting THIS WEEKEND, July 2. We will only be serving on Fridays through Sundays (for now) from 11 am to 2 pm.
And now for the BIG ONE … For those people that live closer to New Braunfels, we are thrilled to be opening our 3rd store (carry out and delivery only) sometime in October.
