Happy New Year! We are hopeful and enthusiastic and look forward to more amazing things happening this 2023! Recently, we launched our newest salad menu: The Spinach Caprese Salad. A classic salad with a twist. Served on a bed of spinach, sliced tomatoes, and creamy mozzarella cubes, topped with Fresh Basil oil and the sophisticated drizzle of balsamic glaze! Our January calendar was full of events, from catering to spirit nights, to sponsorships and donations.
We were pleased to serve the Chamber of Schertz at their luncheon on Jan. 17th. We fed over 150 people that day with our delicious Teriyaki Chicken with white basmati rice, roasted veggies, garden salad, rolls, and butter brownies.
On January 18th, we hosted the Cibolo Valley Elementary PTC fundraiser at our Schertz location. It was great to see all the happy faces of the students and their families during the event.
It was such a fun night for Norma J. Paschal Elementary PTC, relaunching its Patriots Patrol program, especially after we donated pizzas to feed 150 people on January 23rd.
We gave a huge shoutout to Triton Cleaning Services for allowing Mattenga's to be part of their charitable event! We help them sponsor the January birthday party for Boysville, Inc. Boysville is a children’s home that offers emergency shelter for kids in need, housing for kids 0-18 years old, a program that integrates 18-23 year olds into the community and a program for pregnant teens where they offer housing and help until the baby is 3. They then help with mom and babies integration into the community.
Other events held this January included Longs Creek Elementary PTA and J.M. High School Orchestra spirit nights on the 19th and 26th at the O'Connor location and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School's fundraiser at our Schertz location on the 31st. Also, the Girls Scouts of Southwest Texas Troop 1226 has an ongoing Cookie Booth project every Friday in Schertz from January 27th to the last Friday of February.
