April Impact Report

We have been reflecting on how grateful we are to have a wonderful community and also wanted to show our appreciation to our staff that has helped us through this new normal. You will see us recognizing these great employees on our Tuesday Facebook posts called “Teamwork Tuesday” You can help us in showing appreciation by commenting on the posts or stopping by in person.

On April 6, we hosted a spirit night for Veterans Memorial HS Orchestra. The students performed and everyone had a great time.

TEAMWORK Tuesday 4/13

A huge shout to one of our outstanding employees at the O'Connor location, Mikee! Thank you for everything you've done for the team and for setting an exceptional example for your coworkers. It has been a pleasure to work with you. All the best!

We had the pleasure of taking pizzas to the Cibolo City Council meeting on April 13. We wanted to show our appreciation for these hard working members of our community. Thanks for all you do.

We were honored to hold a spirit night for the first time on April 14 for Ransomed Life, a support group that provides counseling, mentoring and other services for families of sexually exploited youth. Thanks for reaching out to us and allowing us to help support your cause. For more information on this group, go to https://www.ransomedlifetexas.org/ .

On April 19, the 11U Buffalo Valley Baseball team, had a spirit night at Mattenga’s. They also had a great turn out for their event. We hope they finish well this season. Good luck!!

Mattenga's #TeamworkTuesday: 4/20

Lili is the glue that holds our teams together. She is dependable and hard-working. Lili sets the standards high and challenges everyone to meet or exceed them. We are so glad she is a part of Mattenga's family. Stop by O'Connor and meet her.

Mattenga’s catered the Steele Lady Soccer Banquet on April 27 at The Club at Garden Ridge for approximately 135 people. The group enjoyed a variety of salads, pastas, breadsticks and desserts. What a great way to end the year!! You’ve earned this!

While Steele was enjoying their evening, back at the restaurant, we hosted Cibolo Valley Elementary’s Spirit NIght. We loved seeing the families stop by to support their school. It was a great time of families, friends and good food.

This week (4/27), our Teamwork Tuesday puts the spotlight on a very valuable employee.

Ahmad (Enga's dad) is our original pizza artist. He helped perfect the dough that you enjoy each time you visit. He loves creating the perfect pizza just for you. You'll find him in our kitchen stretching dough early in the morning anticipating the coming crowd.

We’ve had quite the busy month and we’re thankful for it. As I visit the community businesses around us, I’m hearing more and more that things are starting to return to normal. It’s good to hear and we wish everyone the best as we approach summer. Thanks for your support and stop by for a pie from Ahmad!
