We’re proud to announce that we received the Water Safety Food Vendor Certificate of Appreciation this month, recognizing our commitment to supporting safety initiatives in the community. Additionally, we hosted a heartwarming Retirement Party on the Schertz location's patio—what better way to celebrate milestones than with great pizza?
Weddings & Caterings
We also had the pleasure of catering a wedding this month, where Mattenga’s pizzas brought smiles to all. Catering for special moments like this is always an honor, and we love being a part of life’s biggest celebrations. On a larger scale, we catered a Chamber Luncheon for 220 guests, serving delicious food and fostering connections.
Teacher Appreciation: Giving Back to Educators
May was filled with teacher appreciation events, and we were thrilled to give back to the educators who shape our future. At Rose Garden Elementary, we provided pizzas for a special event, sharing our gratitude with the amazing teachers and staff. Over at Copperfield Elementary, we donated 25 pizzas for Teacher Appreciation Week, celebrating the hard work and dedication of their team.
Meanwhile, at Raba Elementary, we donated 29 pizzas, and our Quiet Plain location delivered 30 pizzas for Adams Hill’s Teacher Appreciation. Our team at the Callaghan store also stepped up, donating 10 pizzas to Respite Care of San Antonio for National Provider Appreciation Day, a meaningful opportunity to support those who care for our community.
Spirit Nights & School Partnerships
This month, our Schertz location hosted School of Science and Technology’s Phase 2 Spirit Night, where families enjoyed pizza while supporting their school. We also received the wonderful news that our Military/Sea World location won Partner of the Year for Northside ISD for the second year in a row, thanks to a nomination from Martin Elementary. This achievement is a testament to our team’s hard work and the relationships we’ve built with local schools. Thank you, Martin Elementary, for the honor!
Community Events & Donations
In addition to school events, we hosted a Build Your Own Pizza (BYOP) event for the Kids of Brighter Future at our Schertz location, offering a fun, interactive experience for the children. Our Schertz location was also the site for the MOJORIMBA Fundraiser, where we raised funds for a meaningful cause, and we’re grateful to everyone who attended and supported the event.
Over at the Callaghan location, we had the privilege of donating pizzas to the Audie Murphy VA, showing our appreciation for veterans. It’s an honor to give back to those who have served our country.
May was a month full of giving, celebration, and community connections.
