April has been a month filled with community engagement, exciting events, and giving back to the people and organizations we care about most! At Mattenga’s Pizzeria, we take pride in serving not only delicious food but also supporting local events and causes. Here’s a recap of all the fun and impactful moments we had this month! Supporting Our Local Communities
We were honored to collaborate with the Wilder PTC, serving up tasty meals for kids and families during their special event. Seeing the joy on everyone’s faces as they enjoyed our pizza made it all worth it. Thank you, Wilder PTC, for trusting us to be a part of such a memorable day!
We also had the pleasure of serving our friends at TriCo Texas Tri-County Chamber. We always appreciate the opportunity to bring our pizzas to the hardworking individuals who make a difference in our community.
Pizza with Purpose
One of our proudest moments this month was participating in the "Pizza with the Police" event hosted by the Garden Ridge Police Department. We loved bringing our pizza to such an important event, fostering a stronger connection between law enforcement and the local community.
We were also thrilled to donate 12 of our signature 16” pizzas to the volunteers at the Alamodome’s opening event of Fiesta 2024. It was a privilege to kick off San Antonio’s iconic Fiesta celebrations with such a meaningful gesture.

April brought us some recognition we are particularly proud of! We were chosen as one of the People's Choice winners at the inaugural TASTE of the Medical Center awards. What an incredible honor! This achievement reflects our commitment to delivering great food and an even greater dining experience.
Mattenga’s on Wheels
Our Mattenga’s food trailer was on the move, serving up our pizzas at various exciting events throughout the region. In April, we made stops at:
Arrowhead Creek Vineyards Solar Eclipse Event (April 8th, Stonewall, TX)
Craft Beer Festival (April 13th, New Braunfels, TX)
Church Festival (April 14th, Schertz, TX)
It’s always a blast bringing our food to different parts of the community, and we loved meeting so many new and familiar faces.
Giveaway Alert
We also spiced things up with a Gunslingers game ticket giveaway! Ten lucky winners got to enjoy a San Antonio Gunslingers game, and we couldn’t be happier to share the excitement with our loyal customers.
Looking Ahead
